Frequently Asked Questions

PUTCCM stands for Polling Unit To Collation Centre Movement.

It is a civic movement focused on organising Nigerians around the electoral process, with the stated objective of protecting, defending and securing votes from the Polling Unit through the relevant stages of collation, while promoting transparency and accountability in the handling and reporting of election results.

PUTCCM's activities include voter awareness, volunteer mobilisation, election-related education, lawful observation/documentation and coordination of members across polling units, wards, LGAs and states.

The movement's objective is to help ensure that every vote is properly cast, recorded, documented and accounted for throughout the electoral process, and to promote a transparent and credible election process.

Any Nigerian who supports the movement's civic objectives and is willing to participate peacefully and lawfully, and is ready to defend votes and voters by all means necessary, can apply to join.

Members are expected to respect Nigerian law, election regulations and the rights of other citizens.

Absolutely not. The Polling Unit To Collation Centre Movement (PUTCCM) is strictly non-partisan. We do not support, endorse, or campaign for any candidate or party. Our sole mandate is the integrity of the electoral process for all Nigerians.
Once you are vetted, you'll be assigned to your State WhatsApp group.

PUTCCM can receive applications from qualified volunteers for vacant states.

The objective is to establish an organised structure across the states, followed by LGAs, wards and polling units.

PUTCCM's organisational structure is designed around members' States, LGAs, Wards and Polling Units.

Where possible, members should be organised around the areas where they are registered or intend to participate, subject to PUTCCM's operational arrangements and applicable election rules.

Yes, but you should inform your Coordinator of both your location and the State/LGA where you will vote so that you can be properly assigned and coordinated.

Members should not disrupt voting, seize electoral materials, interfere with election officials, intimidate voters or obstruct the lawful movement and collation of election materials.

However, where there is election manipulation, rigging, violence, vote buying or any form of electoral fraud, it is the duty of every PUTCCM member at that Polling Unit to ensure that such manipulation is completely stopped by every means legally possible.

Members can participate in approved awareness activities, including:

  • Sharing PUTCCM educational materials
  • Creating short videos explaining the movement
  • Sharing PUTCCM's official social-media content
  • Participating in the #30daysPUTCCMChallenge
  • Encouraging civic participation
  • Helping recruit and organise volunteers
